I had some fun, too!

Like, performing at the Indonesian Festival and World CultureFest ;)
We sang three songs from Indonesia: O Ina Ni Keke, Si Patokaan, and Ampar-ampar Pisang. OK, maybe singing is not too exotic or colorful or fun to watch. But for us, our performance was special because it was all about friendship. In our singing group, we had Alika (Indonesia), Icha (Malaysia), Marina (Russia), Mark (Malaysia), May (Taiwan) - pianist, Michael (Indonesia), Nga (Vietnam), Pam (Indonesia), and Tanya (Indonesia).
As you could imagined, it took time and willingness for all our friends to learn these songs. What resulted from our times of practice were laughter, respect, and care for one another.

When we performed at the World CultureFest two days ago, Tanya couldn't be there. She had to go back to Indonesia because her mom passed away. We dedicated our songs to her and hoped that she stays strong and that we'll see her again soon on campus. Aren't friends special? I'm thankful for them.

These photos are by the special one and only, Mr. D.
