I can't believe a student said that historical research does not matter because it does not have numbers and it cannot be quantified.
I can't believe a student said that (what social and cultural scientists state as) postcolonial studies are forms of apologetics, which means that voices from Third-World-religious-minority-women scholars do not matter in academia, let alone in life.
I can't believe that a student said you can simply draw a uniformity of experience for people around the world, which is basically saying that race, class, gender, religion, nationality, ethnicity issues, along with personal and group unique histories, do not matter.
There are things I just can't understand.
Hm... I can't believe either. You are not the only one wondering. . .
