Graduation Dinner

I had a wonderful time this evening at the Indonesian graduation dinner. It was really nice to see our good friends finished their years at this university and see all their hard work paid off. The event also made me think about two things. First was that D and I miss my father-in-law so much when the graduates sang this song by Sherina Munaf "Andai Aku Tlah Dewasa." I know you're watching us from heaven, papa.



Second, I whispered to myself that one day there will be even many more Indonesians who will be able to pursue their dreams to study abroad - especially they who are now considered poor, marginalized, and left behind. There will be rooms for you in this school, together with people from all over the world; Yes, for you, who dream big for yourselves and for others.
