That was tonight's weather forecast and severe weather alert.
I have been living at the university apartment since I came. It means that the rent is a little bit expensive, but I can turn on the heater to whatever temperature I want (really important for someone who came from a tropical country). I remember at my first apartment that I (well, we) shared with a friend, we often turned the heater to 90 degrees! (Fahrenheit) in the winter.
When I think about this now, I laugh. 90 degrees was hot!
But the weather has been really extreme these days. I never thought that I could survive in 0 degree (Celcius) temperature, but now I even have to survive in -24 degrees. Boy, this adjustment process really never ends. I always think my life is all about "being comfortable with the uncomfortable," because there is something new that I have to adapt with every single day. A challenging process.
Stay warm, everyone.
I heard there was also a snow storm this week in Kansas.
ReplyDeleteI think these all are connected to the global warming.
well, it's so warm here, hot if you want to say it. Stay warm, dear friend.
V, thanks a lot! Do you think you're going back to KS this year?
ReplyDeleteNop, not this year, maybe in 2011 hehehe, please pray for that. thanks ;)
